DIY Cookie Dough Gifts

Gift giving is a big part of this season. Back in my day, neighbors and co-workers would pack up homemade gifts and distribute to the neighborhood and office. I loved getting homemade cookies, fudge and homemade chocolate covered pretzels during the holiday season. The art of homemade gift giving has been lost a little bit over the years, but I am here to revive it and keep it going. Today I am going to show you a great way to give a food related gift that is not only really cute, but helps a friend out when they need to do some holiday baking. We have all gotten those jars of cookie mix, but this special version takes it a step further. Did you know you can freeze cookie dough?? I usually like to make several different types of cookie doughs to put in the freezer at the beginning of the season, so whenever a Christmas party, gathering or church function pops up, all I have to do is pull it out of the dough out of the freezer, drop it on some cookie sheets and bake. It cuts down on a lot of time during a really busy season.

So…why not package up said frozen cookie dough and give it friends as gifts? Especially those that don’t love baking. This way they still bring a delicious homemade treat to that office party or have a special cookie recipe to put out on Christmas Eve for the ol’ Santa!

Instructions:

STEP 1: Make your cookie dough. Choose 1 of the amazing options above.

STEP 2: Pack your cookie dough into your container and place lid on top.

STEP 3: Print labels – One with the name of the cookie and one with instructions. I suggest printing on label paper, for easy sticking to the container.

STEP 4: Tie a ribbon around the container and lid.
