Father’s Day is coming up soon, so it is time to get online and get ordering. Stores are slowly opening back up and depending on where you are in the country, you may still be hesitant about getting out to the stores. Can we talk about dads for a sec?? I am stealing this paragraph from myself. I posted this same sentiment on my insta last year, but I will continue to re-iterate over and over because it is that important. Dads are parents. Just as much as moms. They are not babysitters, they do not “keep” the children when mom is gone. They parent. Same as me. The culture continues to minimize the importance of dads. It’s real unfortunate how the media portrays them. They are not goofballs that just mess everything up or can’t get anything right. They don’t get in the way. They are leaders. Role Models. Advocates. Men have gotten a bad rap as of late, but in my real, every day life, I am seeing more and more men step up and get in the trenches of parenthood. They do night feedings for infants. They change diapers. They prep meals. They are a REAL presence in their lives. Let’s change the narrative today. . Let’s celebrate them this month and let them know how truly important they are.
