DIY: OMBRE PUMPKINS

No carving required! Here is another DIY that will last all of fall. You can do this on a real pumpkin or on fake ones like I did to keep from year to year. How pretty would this be as a centerpiece?? See below for directions.

What you need:
Pumpkins (I got mine at Joann’s, buy similar here)
White spray paint (I love this brand)
Craft paints (I used Apple Barrel Bright Yellow and Kings Gold for Orange Pumpkin and Delta Paints Gray and Black Pearl for Black Pumpkin)
Paint brush and blender (I got these blenders at Joann’s years ago, but you can get them from Amazon here)

Step 1: Spray paint pumpkins white.

Step 2: Start with the darker color and paint the bottom half with a brush.
Step 3: Paint the lighter color on the next layer.
Step 4: Take a blender and blender the 2 colors together.
Note: Do all this quickly so paint doesn’t dry completely.
Step 5: Continue with each lighter color until you get to the top.
Step 5: Use white to mix in with the lightest color at top of pumpkin. Blend with blender.

How pretty and easy is that? You can use any color you want, too. Check out the Orange ones below:

Be sure to check out other pumpkin DIY’s here and here.

Also, comment below and tell me how are you decorating your pumpkins this year??
