DIY Christmas Card Block Holders

DIY Christmas Card Holders will help you display your cards in style! #diy #christmascardholders #diychristmas #christmascrafts #christmasdiy

I look forward to getting my mail during the month of December. I love all the sweet Christmas cards I get every year and getting to see how all the kiddos in our life are growing from year to year. I never know what to do with the card themselves, though. I usually just lean them against some books on our shelves, but it never looks very cute or they fall off and end up all over the place. Today’s DIY project is a perfect solution to hold all those cards in a cute way. You can place these anywhere you wanna display your card and enjoy them throughout the season.

Supplies for Christmas Card Holders

Supplies:

Wood Blocks
Paint (color of your choice)
Wire
Thumbtacks
Stickers (letters or Christmas shapes)
Sharpie or Paint Pen

Instructions:

STEP 1: Place stickers on wood blocks. I spelled out Merry Christmas. You could spell out any Christmas words (love, joy, peace) or just use symbols like Christmas trees, reindeer heads or stars.

STEP 2: Paint blocks with paint color of your choice.

STEP 3: Remove stickers and use as a stencil of sorts to color in the letters or symbols. You could just leave the wood as is, but it didn’t show up that well with the gold. If you painted the blocks white or black, the natural wood of the block would probably show up more.

STEP 4: Use a thumbtack to create a hole in the center of the top of the block.

STEP 5: Cut wire about 4-5 inches. Twist around to create layers of wire kind of like a paper clip.

STEP 6: Put a little super glue on the tip of the wire and stick into the hole created by thumb tack.

STEP 7: Allow to dry and stick you card in the wire.
