I literally can’t get easier than this is you want a quick, semi-homemade donut that is more similar to the typical yeast-raised donuts, but without all the work!
See below for step x step instructions (with pictures) and scroll to the bottom for the printable recipe!

STEP 2: Prepare your icings and set aside:Glass Bowls
– In one bowl, whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons whole milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
– In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa powder and 3 tablespoons milk.
STEP 3: Open a can of biscuits and place on a cutting board.
STEP 4: Using a small cooking cutter (I used the bottom of a round piping tip), cut out the center of each biscuit.Cutting Board
STEP 5: Gently lower 2-3 donuts or several of the holes into the oil and fry until golden brown. Flip and allow the other side to cook until golden brown.
STEP 6: Use a slotted spoon or spatula to lift the donuts out of oil, allowing oil to drip off.
STEP 7: Place on a paper towel lined plate.
STEP 8: Once they have cooled a little, dip into the glaze and decorate however you want. We used sprinkles. Your little ones can help with this part and think it’s SO FUN!Glass Bowls / Cutting Board
I mean, how easy is that. It only takes a few minutes once the oil heats up and so little prep, you can’t beat these. No one will ever know you didn’t slave over the typical yeast recipe. I’ll keep your secret!
