BBQ BACON

BBQ Bacon on a plate

Father’s Day is coming up this Sunday and I had so much fun with my donut theme last week that I wanted to have another “theme” week revolving around the dads. Something meaty seemed appropriate and maybe I’m totally being stereotypical, but BACON seemed like the right choice. And, really who doesn’t LOVE bacon, anyway!

It’s just universally loved and there are so many amazing ways to cook bacon! I have made many different kinds over the year for my many brunch showers I throw but this recipe is one that Blake (the father of my children) loves so much that he had me make it for his “Favorite Things” 30th Birthday Party.

With that said, I thought this would be the perfect recipe to start off “Bacon Week”

STEP 5: Bake for 35-40 minutes or until slightly crispy and dark brown (but not burnt). The bacon will be really dark. That doesn’t mean it is burnt. It’s like when you rub a pork butt with BBQ rub and than roast or smoke it and it turns that beautiful dark color. You may need to go longer if it is not too crispy.Cooked Bacon on PanPan / Cooling Rack (similar)
