Y’all. It’s January. I know we are supposed to be eating healthy and trying to get rid of that few extra pounds we put on during the previous 3 months, but it’s cold and I want comfort food. Which means I want bread. Banana bread is just that classic quick bread everyone loves and I have eaten my whole life. Here is a recipe with an extra addition that guarantees it to be super moist and delicious.

RECIPE:
STEP 1:Beat butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
STEP 2: Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
STEP 3: Add eggs, 1 at a time.
STEP 4: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
STEP 5: Add flour to butter mixture and beat until just combined.
STEP 6: Fold in bananas, pecans and vanilla.
STEP 7: Pour batter into 2 – 8×4″ loaf pans.
STEP 8: Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Note: Cover bread with foil if it starts to brown too much.
STEP 9: Allow the bread to cool in pans for 10 minutes, than remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter room temperature
- 1 8 ounce cream cheese room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 medium bananas smashed
- 1 cup pecans chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
