Salted Caramel Rice Krispies

Ingredients

Salted Caramel Sauce

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sea salt flakes (I used Maldon)

Rice Krispies

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies

Instructions

  1. Stir together brown sugar, 2 tablespoons butter and condensed milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil.

  2. Once this mixture is boiling, turn the heat to low and whisk continuously for abotu 5 minutes.

  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in sea salt flakes. Set aside.

  4. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and the add 1 bag of marshmallows in a large pot. Stir until melted.

  5. Add salted caramel to the melted marshmallow mixture and stir until fully incorporated.

  6. Add Rice Krispies and gently mix until they are well coated.

  7. Pour the Rice Krispie mixture into a buttered 9x13 pyrex and press down until they are even.
