ORANGE SPICED CASHEWS

Course Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups cashews
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line baking sheets with parchment.
  3. Mix together cashews and corn syrup in a bowl until coated.
  4. In another small bowl, mix together salt, orange zest, ginger, coriander, cumin and cayenne pepper.
  5. Sprinkle this mixture over the nuts and stir.
  6. Spread the nuts on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes.
  7. When you take out of the oven, immediately pour the nuts onto a new sheet with parchment and separate the nuts. Let cool.
