Double Dark Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prep your cookie sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Melt the 8 oz of chocolate and butter in the microwave of a double boiler. Set aside.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

  4. Mix eggs, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer.

  5. Add melted chocolate and beat until combined.

  6. Add the flour mixture and beat on low until just combined.

  7. Add chocolate chunks and fold in until distributed evenly throughout dough.

  8. Using a cookie scoop, drop dough into prepared baking sheets about 2" apart.

  9. Bake cookies for 12-15 minutes. Cool on pan for 10 minutes and then transfer to cooling racks to cool completely.
