Cranberry Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 2 lb bag frozen meatballs
  • 1 16 oz can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 12 oz bottle chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Place frozen meatballs on a rimmed baking sheet.

  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

  4. In a large Dutch oven or pot, combine cranberry sauce, chili sauce, orange marmalade, water, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, brown sugar and red pepper flakes.

  5. Heat mixture over medium heat and cook until mixture is smooth, whisking occasionally. This takes about 5 minutes.

  6. Add meatballs to the sauce and stir to get meatballs coated. Let sit over heat until meatballs are heated through or mix together in a crock-pot and let sit on low for 1 and half to 2 hours until warmed.

To make ahead: Bake off the meatballs and let them cool. Transfer to a container and refrigerate overnight. Prepare the sauce and let cool. Transfer to a container and refrigerate overnight. Combine meatballs in a crock-pot or dutch oven and let heat up on low for a couple hours.
