Who’s getting ready to throw a Galentine’s Partay! Or a romantic dinner with your loved one?? This is a fun recipe today for you. Turn that champagne into a fun dessert. You can even drop these into a glass of champagne for an extra yummy at the end of your glass. Or just need a sweet light treat after gorging yourself on your Valentine meal. Or maybe that’s just what we do….
It’s super fun and takes minutes to do.
Recipe:
*note: I split up my recipe and made half with champage and half with Welch’s Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Rose
STEP 1:Sprinkle 3 packets of gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water to allow the gelatin to “bloom”.
STEP 2: Combine 1 1/2 cups champagne/sparkling rose and 1/4 cup sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat until it comes to a simmer.
STEP 3: Add the gelatin and stir until it is dissolved.
STEP 4: Pour mixture into a spouted cup and pour into an ice cube tray/mold or pyrex. I used
THESE ice trays because they make really pretty squares, but you can pour into a pyrex and cut if you want.
optional: Sprinkle edible glitter on top. I did one batch where I added to the mixture and they kind of melted, so I would just sprinkle on top to avoid that. I think if I would have allowed the mixture to cool a bit, it might have worked better.
STEP 5: Allow to cool and set-up in the fridge for 1 hour.
Enjoy!
