It’s a different kind of pumpkin post today. This one doesn’t involve anything edible, but a fun & EASY way to decorate pumpkins this year. I love doing Fall DIY’s. I love to find new ways to decorate pumpkins every year. You can check out my other decorated pumpkins like my Spiderweb Pumpkins or my Marbled Pumpkins and my Ombre Pumpkins. One day, when the kids get older, I will give in and let them carve their own. Until then, thought, I’ll just be over here spray painting.
I bought a beautiful ceramic white pumpkin with black “speckles” from Target last year that I loved. I just kept thinking to how easy they would be to make myself. I decided to try the “splattered” look with Easter eggs and they turned out really cute and literally took me minutes to complete. So I HAD to make some mini splattered pumpkins this year.
If you are looking for a cool modern take to decorate this fall, this SUPER EASY DIY is for you!
Affiliate links are used in my post. What does that mean?If you purchase through my link I will receive a small commission and it doesn’t change the price for you at all! However, I only ever recommend products/services that I absolutely LOVE and use myself or would use myself! If you choose to support me through purchasing through my links, it allows me to continue to bring you info that you enjoy and hopefully use. So I thank you for any and all support.
SUPPLIES YOU NEED:
Pumpkins – You can certainly use real ones. I wanted mine to last, so I bought plastic ones. Here are the ones I got.
Spray Paint
Black Craft Paint
Paintbrush
STEP 1: Spray Paint pumpkins using the white spay paint. If you already have white pumpkins, this is one less step. You could also Spray them Black and do white speckles or really any color you want.
STEP 2: Squeeze some black paint onto a paper plate or palette. Add a few drops of water to thin it out. (You want it to be thin enough to really splatter, but still thick enough to not drip.
STEP 3: Dip your brush in paint and use your thumb across the brush to flick the paint onto the pumpkins.
STEP 4: Allow time to dry.
THAT’S IT! Literally, the easiest thing you could ever do. And you can’t really mess it up.
