DIY String-Wrapped Christmas Tree Ornaments Tutorial

Materials Needed:

• Assorted string or yarn
• Cardboard – I used part of an Amazon box
• Hot Glue
• Hole Punch
• Scissors
• Christmas Tree Cookie Cutter (or any Christmas shape)

Step 1: Trace your Shape
Using a cookie cutter, trace your Christmas tree shape onto a piece of cardboard.

Step 2: Cut Your Shape
Using your scissors, cut out the shapes from the cardboard.

Step 3: Punch a Hole
Using a hole punch, punch a hole at the top of the Christmas tree.

Step 4: Add the Hanging String
Thread a string through the hole at the top and then knot at together, leaving a big enough loop for hanging on the tree.

Step 5: Wrap your String.
Using a hot glue gun, add a line of glue at the bottom of the cardboard tree and place your string. Add another line of glue on the other side and wrap the string around to secure. Keep wrapping until the whole shape is covered in string.
