I’m back with PART 2 of Summer Tablescapes. I posted Part 1 last week with 3 different styles and inspirations for you summer entertaining. I have 2 more styles for you today – Light & Earthy & Pretty Pastel Scandinavian. Below are my tips again for ‘setting a table’ to create a unique and beautiful experience at you next party.
Here are a few tips when creating a tablescape:
1. Use what you have. Check your inventory. See what you have and buy a few pieces to add to whatever your theme may be. I always have white plates. They are a MUST in life. My everyday plates are white AND my china is white. You can add any color and any style to them not matter what your look is. Also, look around for vases and candle holders you may have in other areas to pull together. Don’t be afraid to mix and match to bring together your ideas.
2. Use fabric for tablecloths or runners. You can buy some great tablecloths and runners at budget store like Target, H&M and Walmart. But, if you can’t quite find what you are looking for, head to the fabric store. They have hundreds of fabrics to choose from and you can use stich-fix to iron the edges and look more professional. I have done this for EVERY party and shower I have thrown.
3. Add different textures & finishes. Always play with different textures to add depth to a tablescape. It always makes it look more profesh! Always put some real plants — whether flowers, greenery or succulents – on your table. It makes such a difference.
