I was perusing aisles of Target the other day and came across the school supply aisles. Y’all. I immediately went right back to those days when I got to go pick out folders, binders, all the coolest pencils and supplies a girl could need. I put so much effort into picking out the coolest supplies as this was a real way of expressing my style.
Even as young as elementary school, I would head to the local ‘Hello Kitty’ store and pick out my favorite pencils.
The nostalgia of the start of a new year and the excitement of getting new school supplies brings me so much joy right now.
I know that school may look different for you this year, and that is such a bummer for us and our kids. BUT, what a great day to bring a little joy to those kiddos by doing a little school supply shopping. Whether you are in a classroom or at home this year, school supplies are still needed! You can even get your virtual learners a little locker for their accessories and maybe this will feel a little bit more normal.
