So, I am slightly obsessed with all things marble lately. I actually saw this idea back at Christmas to marble some ornaments. Of course, Christmastime is always so hectic and I was so pregnant so I just never got around to it. So when I started thinking about Easter crafts this year, I thought back to the ornament idea and thought about doing the same technique to some eggs. I wanted to make some egg decorations that were cool and went well with the rest of the decor in my house, so this was a perfect idea. How pretty are these?!?! I really like the way they turned out.

I would love to try these in a more Easter-y color like a peach, yellow or mint green, perhaps. But, I actually made these last week and now have a 7 day old baby…sooo…not happening this year.See below for how I did it.

SUPPLIES:

Supplies for Marbled Easter EggsCraft Eggs / Nail Polish / Tweezers / Toothpick

Instructions:

Step 1: Fill a plastic container with room temperature water. Do not use cold because it will clump up too much.
Step 2: Take the nail polish and pour drops into the water.

Step 3: Gently stir with a toothpick.

Step 4: Dip the egg into the water and then quickly pull out. You can use tongs, but I found it a little easier just to dip it in with my fingers. Just be prepared with some nail polish remover.

Step 5: Place the egg in a carton or somewhere to dry. (Side note: I used these fake eggs, so I could keep them from year to year)

That’s it. How easy is that?!? In a matter of minutes, I had these beautiful marbled eggs.
