It’s hot, y’all. The weather has me craving all the frozen treats. It’s the only time of year I take my coffee cold. I normally turn to my favorite frozen treat, ice cream. And, while I would love to eat ice cream everyday, my waistline won’t let me. I’ve been desperately looking for a healthy alternative to avoid the quarantine 15 and decided it was to time to just make something myself so I could know exactly the ingredients in my own special treat.
Do y’all remember Otter Pops? Do those still exist?? I know I have seen different brands in stores, but Otter Pops were my jam growing up. I also recently discovered you could. bag the long skinny bags that said Otter Pops came in. So, I decided to raid my fridge/freezer for any fruit I could find and made my own Ice Pops. Not only are they a great treat for me to enjoy, guilt free, but they are also GREAT for my kids! Win, Win. It’s all fruit, sweetened with natural sweeteners and not filled with any processed sugar!! Pass them out to all the neighborhood kids, you’ll be their favorite and the parents won’t mind you giving their kids fruit for snacks!
