Y’all… I love fall. It’s my absolute favorite season of the year. Also, the food…. all the flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. Yum! They’re my favorite. I also love planning fall parties, especially brunch. Who doesn’t love brunch? Combine brunch foods with fall flavors and I am in heaven.
Recently, I was able to throw my friend Kristin a baby “sprinkle,” if you will. My friend Kelli and I decided on a fall brunch with “mini” foods, because it doesn’t get cuter. Right!?! Here is the menu we decided on:
· Sausage balls – These are so easy and yummy. You can make them so cute by making little toothpick flags and sticking them in the balls for easy pick up.
· Mini Sweet Potato Biscuits with Pork Tenderloin
· Mini Pancake Stacks – Kelli made these and they were so cute. She used a pumpkin spice pancake mix to integrate a fall flavor. Put out some maple syrup next to them for people to pour as desired.
· Spinach Quiche
· Yogurt and Granola Parfaits – This is literally one of the easiest things for a shower. I made my own granola days before and assembled these the night before. The more I can do the night before, the better. All I did was pipe greek yogurt into a cute glass, pour a dollop of honey and sprinkle with the granola.
· Bacon Skewers – Who doesn’t love bacon? I made a candied bacon (dredge in brown sugar, chili powder and a little cayenne) and threaded them onto a bamboo skewer. This makes the presentation a little cuter.
· Hash brown cups – Kelli made these too and they turned out so great as a mini option.
· Pecan Pie Mini Muffins – I have been making these for years because nothing says fall to me like pecans. These are muffins that taste like pecan pie. You can’t go wrong.
· Donut Holes – I could have made my own donuts, but I am working on reducing the amount of stress I put on myself and realizing you can’t mess with the perfection that is Krispy Kreme. Stick those donut holes on a skewer and it’s instantly cuter.
· Mini Fruit Pizzas – Another Kelli creation. (P.S. so thankful for her co-hosting skills)
· We also provided coffee, OJ and water to drink.
As far as decorations go, my house was already decorated for fall with pumpkins, so we kept all that out and added some purple and white flowers for a little color. Kelli made a few banners to hang around and that was all that was really needed. It turned out so cute.
