DIY: FLOWER LETTERS

My friend Jenni and I recently planned a brunch for another friend who was about to bring her 2nd little girl into the world. We planned out a whole garden themed brunch, had the menu set and was ready to go. However, sweet Wren decided to make her debut into the world a few weeks earlier than planned and 2 days before said shower. I think she didn’t want to share a birthday month with her sister. We are so thankful she is here and healthy and they are doing so great.

In preparation for the indoor garden-themed (way too hot to be outside in July) shower, I had decided to make some flower letters for her sweet girl to bring the garden inside. I literally put them together in the morning and got the text in the afternoon that Jenn was having her baby now!! I hate we didn’t get to shower are sweet friend, but either way, I was planning to give these to her and instead of using them at the shower, she was able to use them in her nursery and for newborn photos.

Yall, these turned out really pretty and were so much easier than I thought they would be. Here is what you need:

  1. Cardboard or wood letter or numbers (depending on what you are wanting to decorate). I got mine at Joann’s. Click here to get the exact ones I used.
  2. Faux Flowers – a chose a variety in peach, mint and white. I also got them from Joann’s.
  3. Glue or adhesive of some kind – I used good ol’ super glue.
  4. Spray paint – I used COLORSHOT Premium Satin Spray Paint – Sugarcoat It.
  5. Scissors

Step 1: Spray paint your letters in whatever color you wish. I chose white. Let them dry thoroughly.

Step 2: Cut all the flowers off of the stems of your faux foliage.

Step 3: Layout your design. This was an important step for me because I like to plan things out before making it permanent. You certainly don’t have to do this and if you wanna just start gluing – more power to ya!

Step 4: Once you have a plan in place, just start gluing! Allow it to dry thoroughly before moving them.

I had seen these on Pinterest and thought it would be harder than it actually was. It was so easy to put together and ended up looking really beautiful. Let me know if you have any questions below. I’d loved to hear from you and see if you have any other tips!
