“BOY’S ROCK” BABY SPRINKLE

I recently helped throw a “sprinkle” for a friend who is about to have her 2nd boy any day now….

We decided on a “Boy’s Rock” theme which I thought was so cute and was perfect as i recently threw a music themed birthday party for my own baby girl and had lots of ideas. See that post here.

Also, her husband is a touring musician, so this theme was fitting. Since this was just a sprinkle, we kept things pretty simple and I am here to show you some easy ways to add some little touches that make a big visual impact.

1. Popcorn boxes

I’ve been buying popcorn a lot for parties lately.  Everyone loves popcorn, and it helps me not have to make or bake everything. There are so many yummy brands and flavors out there. Have y’all looked at the popcorn aisle lately?? It’s also kind of healthy, so that’s a bonus. For this party I got Skinny Pop’s “Cocoa Dusted” and “Salt and Pepper” flavors. They are really good, they’re gluten and dairy free so they’re perfect for people with allergies and they’re really cute to display.lightning - popcornlightning - popcorn2guitar popcorn

I buy my popcorn boxes at Amazon (click here), but you can get them at just about any party supply store and add any decoration. Here, I designed a lightning bolt (80’s rocker vibe) and a guitar. I printed these on card stock, cut them out and taped them to the box. Rocket science, I know, but look at the impact. Such a simple and cute thing to tie in any theme.

2. Cheese crackerscheese crackers

I decided to make these cheese crackers again. They are so easy and a great savory appetizer to have at an afternoon shower. I like this recipe because you can cut it into any shape. You may remember I made them look like Cheez-its for Eden’s party.  I had a music note cookie cutter left over from her party so I decided to use that for them; an easy way to bring in the theme.

3. Cupcake toppers

I had several ideas for music themed toppers and I knew I would have a lot of items I could stick them in, so I made several flags and toppers. These things are so easy to make and make a huge impact for a shower. See below the guitars, records, and music notes I made. cupcake toppers5

Lastly, I printed out pictures of musical things, taped them to cardstock that went with the theme, cut them out and taped a wooden dowel to the back. So cute for taking pics! props2
