Several years ago, before kids, Blake and I used to travel with each other on our different work trips. It was a fun season of life and so glad we got the chance to go to many places before the precious kiddos came around. Both of our jobs would sometimes take us to some random places and we loved looking up yelp reviews to find all the best local places to eat.
One particular trip to Knoxville, TN, we came across a local Pizza place, Hard Knox Pizza, and truly had one of our FAVORITE pizzas EVER!
Seriously, yall. It was so good. It was a white pizza with creamy mozzarella, salty blue cheese, crispy prosciutto and then drizzled with honey. I know. Weird, right? Let me tell you…IT WAS DELICIOUS!
The contrast of the sweet honey with the salty blue cheese and prosciutto was amazing. I mean people pair honey with blue cheese on cheese boards all the time so it makes perfect sense.
We have been thinking and longing for this pizza ever since …and it has been years. We have found similar pizzas here and there, but nothing quiet like it. So, I FINALLY decided to just try and recreate it myself. It turned out sooooo delish, and was VERY easy to throw together. I don’t know why I waited so long to try it. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Let me know below:
